After 5 years working as a lawyer in a large Commercial Legal Firm in Melbourne, I decided to take a huge tree and career change. Having a passion for wine and appetite for adventure, Tom and I “stumbled” across Armstead Estate, a boutique winery on the banks of Lake Eppalock, by boat, instantly falling in love with the unique lakeside setting and exceptional wines.
After taking over Armstead Estate in July 2017, our first vintage was 2018. Since then, we have continued to make wine from our unique one-acre lakeside vineyard, as well as sourcing fruit from unique low cropped vineyards throughout the Heathcote region, carefully developing each varietal’s individual flavour and expression of site. In 2020, I worked alongside Rob Ellis at Hanging Rock Winery, developing my skills and experimenting with different winemaking techniques.
My passion for wine and winemaking is continuing to grow, with my style being fresh, fruit driven and elegant wines with minimal intervention.
